SUMMARY:ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR RELATIONAL LEADERSHIP
DESCRIPTION:Registration closed. Upcoming dates to be posted soon!\n\nJoin mediators/authors Louise Phipps Senft and William Senft for a 4 hour seminar session.\n\nImprove your skills in Being Relational and learn how to break through the conflicts that drive you crazy.\n\nBecome a Relational Leader in your family\, your organization\, and your community. \n\nRelational Leaders believe there are opportunities for quality interaction in every transaction\, in every negotiation\, and in every conflict. The challenge is to recognize them and be aware of how you can deliberately seize them to increase well-being.\n \n\nBy becoming a Relational Leader\, you can:\n\nChange your interactions with the most difficult people in your life\n\nCreate better outcomes for both you and them\n \n\nIt only takes one person to change the interaction and that person can be you.\nYou engage in multiple negotiations on a daily basis. Some are business transactions. Most are not. All have an opportunity usually unrealized. You can choose to be transactional (focused on maximizing the outcome for self – short term gain)\, or you can choose to be relational (focused on maximizing well-being for both self and others – long term gain). The opportunity is how to be in the interaction itself. \nWhen you choose to engage relationally\, shifts happen\, impact occurs\, and people are more receptive to you and your ideas. And\, you are more receptive to them and theirs…. It’s all about how to be in the interaction. \nThis session will provide an overview of the Four Ways to Quality Interaction: Being Engaged\, Being Centered\, Being Grounded and Being Clear. You will learn practical skills for dealing with real situations and real people. Become more conscious\, more discerning\, and highly effective in negotiating difficult problems and difficult personalities\, professionally and personally.\n\nAs part of the session\, selected participants will be invited to volunteer for a live consultation with Louise and Bill on how they can change the interaction with a difficult person.\n\nParticipants will receive a signed copy of Being Relational\, The Seven Ways to Quality Interaction and Lasting Change.

SUMMARY:September 8-Hour Enneagram Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Trainer: Louise Phipps Senft\, Esq.\n\nDate: Tuesday\, September 15 2015\n\n\nLocation:\nOkun Financial Group\n4 North Park Drive\nSuite 400\nHunt Valley\, MD 21030\n\nCourse Fee: $395\n\nClick here to register For more information\, call our office at (443) 524-0833 or send us an email at louise@baltimoremediation.com.\n\nDescription: With a better understanding of our conscious motivations\, we can better handle conflict. Self-awareness is greatly heightened by working with our own type’s leading strengths and unrecognized blind spots. Taught in the company of others\, this system also generates compassion and relationship skills with people who experience the world in a very different way. The Enneagram is a dynamic system of nine personality types. It is meant to help us understand ourselves\, the people in our lives\, and our habits of mind and reactivity in conflict and otherwise.\n\nTestimonials: “I decided to take the Self Awareness and Conflict Transformation: The Enneagram as Catalyst course with Louise Phipps Senft for a couple of reasons. First\, I had taken a mediation course with Louise some years ago and found her course to help expand to my mediation knowledge as a newcomer to the field. She had good solid material that was presented in a way that I could understand and use. Secondly\, now that I  am somewhat seasoned and am required to take courses every two years\, I wanted something different to give myself a fresh prospective on a personal level that fit with expanding my mediation skills. I looked into the Enneagram theory that Louise was offering and found that it is not only is used in workplace dynamics but also in a path to self enlightenment . I discovered more about myself\, and others\, as well as the strengths I have to use as a mediator and as a person. This course was just the beginning of a practice of personal development and I would recommend it to anyone who wants more than one more tool in their mediation toolbox. Well worth taking.” – Carl G. French III \, Mediator\, Founder: Washington County Community Mediation Center\, Health Department\, Threat Preparedness Coordinator\n\n \n\nFor more information about the Enneagram\, go to www.EnneagramWorldwide.com\n\nThis workshop can also be customized for your organization or business and delivered at your conference\, retreat or place of business. To request or inquire about Customized Enneagram Workshops\, call our office here at Baltimore Mediation at (443) 524-0833\n\n

SUMMARY:September 8-Hour Enneagram Workshop
DESCRIPTION:An 8-Hour Exploration of the Enneagram as a tool for understanding Personal Reactivity and Conflict\n\nClick here to register\nFor more information\, call our office at (443) 524-0833 or send us an email at louise@baltimoremediation.com.\n\nThe Enneagram is a dynamic system of nine personality types. It is meant to help us understand ourselves\, the people in our lives\, and our habits of mind and reactivity in conflict and otherwise.\n\nEach of the nine personality profiles describes a distinct and fundamentally different pattern of thinking\, feeling and acting\, offering profound insight about why we behave the way we do\, how we can change\, and a precise path to psychological and spiritual freedom.\n\nSelf-awareness is greatly heightened by working with our own type’s leading strengths and unrecognized blind spots. Taught in the company of others\, this system also generates compassion and relationship skills with people who experience the world in a very different way.\n\nHow well we are in tune with our internal state\, or how self-aware we are\, has a strong influence on how we ‘do’ conflict. By helping us to understand who we are\, the Enneagram improves our self-awareness.\n  \nWith a better understanding of our conscious motivations\, we can better handle conflict.\n \n\n\nThis training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of the following:\n\n	The Association of Conflict Resolution\n	The Federal Shared Neutrals Program\n	The Maryland Circuit Courts\n	The MACRO Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence\n	The Maryland Board of Social Examiners\n\n\n
