DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed for this event. For more information about our upcoming trainings\, please call the office at (443) 524-0833.\n\nRecent changes in Maryland law require all court-designated mediators in Maryland to receive a minimum of four (4) hours of continuing education toward excellence in providing mediator services. This is a certificated 4-hour course that provides advanced training for mediators and attorneys with a background in mediation. This course does not require previous mediation training\, but those new to the field of alternative conflict resolution can expand on what they learn in this course in one of our basic training events\, found here.\n\nThis training program was designed to provide an intensive experience to meet the requirements set forth by the new Rule 17-205\, (a) (5) that requires court-designated mediators to complete in each calendar year four hours of continuing mediation-related education\n\n	Understanding the Mediator’s Ethical Standards of Conduct: Self-Determination\n	Opening mediation sessions effectively\n	Working with counsel\n	Dealing with emotional barriers\n	Transformative conflict theory\n\n
