For more information\, call our office at (443) 524-0833 or send us an email at louise@baltimoremediation.com. \nA 40-Hour Immersion in the Baltimore Mediation Core Curriculum \nDescription: \nThis is a certificated 40-hour mediation training\, a comprehensive immersion in our Mediation Core Curriculum designed to teach you everything you need to know to start mediating\, either professionally or for daily use and practice. We’ll focus on mediation\, conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills\, taking plenty of time over the five day training to instruct\, discuss and reinforce the fundamental mediator skills and responsibilities\, supported by group work\, role-plays and directed feedback from trained mediators. The course emphasizes the following: \n\nUnderstanding theory and practice as mediators\, shapers of policy\, academics\, and people: the mediation process and your own type and style\nBringing Clients to the Table\nDealing with Strong Emotions\nWorking with and through Impasse\nFostering Communication\nIdentifying Empowerment and Recognition Opportunities\nSelf-Awareness Inventory & Development\nHands-on conflict intervention skills necessary to mediate\nMediator Standards of Practice and Ethics\nIndividual feedback from trainers addressing participants’\nspecific strengths and areas for continued development and excellence.\n\nDates: Monday through Friday\, December 15-19\, 2014 (every day from 9 am – 5:00 pm) \nTrainers: Louise Phipps Senft\, Esq. \nCourse Fee: $1450 \nWhat’s Included: 40-hour certificated courses held over a period of five consecutive days (Monday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday\, Thursday\, and Friday)\, training manual and materials. \nFor more information\, call Baltimore Mediation\, 443-524-0833. Enrollment is limited and on a first-come\, first serve basis. To guarantee your reservation\, Reservation Form and payment must be received by December 1\, 2014. Thereafter\, call for availability. \nA certificate noting 40 hours of attendance will be provided at the end of training. It may be used to apply for state circuit court rosters of approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant’s accrediting institution. \nThis training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of the following: \n\nThe Maryland Circuit Courts\nThe United States government and all federal agency rosters\nThe Equal Employment Opportunity Commission\nThe Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners\nMost other states which have 20\, 40 or 60 hour mediation training requirements.\n\nCancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their registration at least 15 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received 7 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 7 business day prior to the start date will not be subject to any refund.
