OVERVIEW OF THE ENNEAGRAM AND WORKSHOPS

The Enneagram is a dynamic system of nine personality types set in a non-sectarian spiritual framework. It is meant to help us understand ourselves, the people in our lives, and our relationship to the greater realities that guide human evolution. The Enneagram has been adapted for use by educators, business consultants, spiritual directors and a variety of health professionals including psychologists and physicians. Louise Phipps Senft and Larry Hoover have pioneered using the Enneagram in law school education, for mediators and for conflict resolvers. The Enneagram continues to prove its value in helping people achieve their highest potential as individuals and as members on the human community.

The Narrative Tradition, where people speak on their own behalf, is an extraordinary teaching method for personal and professional development. Much learning takes place when hearing from others of the same type as well as when sharing insights and personal stories. Panels bring the Enneagram alive through meaningful conversation set within a rich context of self-observation practices, inquiry dyads, practical exercises for the types, directed meditations, movement work and facilitated interactions between types. The combined effect generates profound understanding and compassion for ourselves and others.
