This Advanced 8 Hour Continuing Mediation
Education Course focuses on Maximizing Decision Making Opportunities
and Party Self-Determination when Mediating Workplace Issues and includes:
Reviewing the workplace mediation process and mediator’s
role
Reviewing the Ethical Standard of Practice: Party Self-Determination
Reviewing Employment Laws and EEOC protocol and its impact
on decision making in mediation
Hands-on skills for workplace conflict intervention and conflict
transformation how-to’s
Individual feedback from trainer addressing participants’
consideration: specific strengths and areas for betterment
8-hour certificated advanced course held
over a one day period

is limited and on a first-come, first serve basis. To guarantee your reservation,
Reservation Form and payment must be received by one month before the start of training. Thereafter,
call for availability. Checks may be made payable to Baltimore Mediation.
Credit card payments may be made by calling Baltimore Mediation, 443-524-0833. Cancellations must be received by fifteen days before the start of training for a full refund of payment and to allow for others on a waiting list to attend.
A certificate noting 8 hours of attendance will be provided at the end
of training. It may be used for the annual 8 hour Maryland Continuing
Mediation Edcuation requirement for Court Approved mediators, and may
be used for continuing education credits from the participant's accrediting
institution or for personal benefit and enrichment.
This training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion
of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of:
The Maryland Circuit Courts
The United States government and all federal agency rosters
The Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners
Most other states which have basic 20, 40 or 60 hour mediation training
requirements.
