ADVANCED GENERAL MEDIATION SKILLS II - CONFLICT SYSTEMS
Annually, BALTIMORE MEDIATION offers three separate and different basic
trainings, all of which can be taken in any order and
combination in February, June, or October to satisfy the equivalent
of 40, 60 or 80 hour mediation training requirements. See also

Advanced General Mediation Skills II: Sources
of Conflict and a Systems Approach to Conflict and Intervention
| Description: |
Advanced 20-hour mediation and conflict
transformation and resolution theory and skills course with a focus
on sources of conflict and systems approach, with certification for
rostered mediators and for daily use and practice. The course emphasizes
the following:
- Understanding theory and practice as mediators, shapers of policy and academics: the mediation process and your own type and style
- Self Awareness Inventory & Development
- Hands-on conflict intervention skills necessary to mediate
- Communication skills and conflict transformation how-to's
- Individual feedback from trainers addressing participants’
specific strengths and areas for continued development and excellence.

and on a first-come, first serve basis. To guarantee your reservation,
Reservation Form and payment must be received by September 21, 2007. Thereafter,
call for availability. Checks may be made payable to Baltimore Mediation.

A certificate noting 20 hours of attendance will be provided at the end
of training. It may be used to apply for state circuit court rosters of
approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant's
accrediting institution.
This training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion
of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of:
The Maryland Circuit Courts
The United States government and all federal agency rosters
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation
The Maryland Board of Social Workers
Most other states which have basic 20, 40 or 60 hour mediation training
requirements.
