ADVANCED MEDIATION TRAINING: ELDERCARE CONFLICTS
Baltimore Mediation offers a 20 hour Eldercare Conflicts in Mediation
Training designed for families faced with difficult decision making and
for healthcare practitioners working in the eldercare environment. Because
this is an advanced mediation training with advanced subject matter expertise
and in a specialized context, Baltimore Mediation offers this training
to healthcare practitioners and state agency ombudsmen, family members,
physicians and others on an interest demonstrated basis. Call Baltimore

The focus of the 20 hour Eldercare Conflicts
Mediation Training is on:
- Understanding the role of the mediator in Eldercare conflicts
- Overview of variety of eldercare conflicts
- Understanding the aging process both physically, mentally,
emotionally and sprititually
- Understanding Family Systems and How they affect the mediation
process and impacts on decision making
- Reviewing the Ethical Standard of Practice: Party Self-Determination
- Hands-on skills for conflict intervention and conflict transformation

- Best Practices for working with Eldercare conflict in a religious
setting
- Individual feedback from trainers addressing participants’
consideration: specific strengths and areas for betterment
- Certification for private and circuit court mediators and for
daily use and practice
