Baltimore Mediation offers a 20 hour Clergy and Religious Organizational Conflicts in Mediation Training designed for clergy, church and synagogue staff and others assisting with conflict resolution. Because this is an advanced mediation training with advanced subject matter expertise and in a specialized not yet widely used context, Baltimore Mediation only offers this training on an interest demonstrated basis. Description: The focus of the 20 hour Clergy and Religious Organizational Conflicts Mediation Training is on:
  • Understanding the role of the mediator in Church and Synagogue conflict
  • Overview of Religious culture and context and why it matters to the parties and affects the mediation process and impacts on decision making
  • Reviewing the Ethical Standard of Practice: Party Self-Determination
  • Highlighting opportunities for open dialogue
  • Hands-on skills for conflict intervention and conflict transformation how-to’s
  • Best Practices for working with conflict in a religious setting
  • Individual feedback from trainers addressing participants’ consideration: specific strengths and areas for betterment
  • Certification for private and circuit court mediators and for daily use and practice
