DESCRIPTION:Conflict Transformation: A 20-Hour Training in Mediation & Custody\, Visitation and Child Support for Advanced Practitioners \nLearn the skills and receive the certification required to mediate family disputes and custody issues \nDescription: \nAdvanced 20-hour mediation and conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills course with a focus on the following: \n\nUnderstanding the domestic mediation process and mediator’s role\nHands-on skills necessary to mediate custody\, visitation\, and child support issues\nDomestic violence and mediation\nCommunication skills for domestic conflict and conflict transformation how-to’s\nCreating Parenting Plans: Psychological and Cognitive Issues\nIndividual feedback from trainers addressing participants’ consideration: specific strengths and areas for betterment\n\nDates: Wednesday\, January 27 (5-9:30pm)\, Thursday\, January 28 (9am-5:30pm) Friday\, January 29 (9am – 4:00pm)\, 2021 \nTrainer: Louise Phipps Senft\, Esq. \nCourse Fee: $ 945 \nThis event has passed. Enrollment is limited and on a first-come\, first serve basis. \nA certificate noting 20 hours of attendance will be provided at the end of training. It may be used for continuing education for state circuit court rosters of approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant’s accrediting institution. \nThis training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of the following: \n\nThe Maryland Circuit Courts\nThe United States government and all federal agency rosters\nThe Equal Employment Opportunity Commission\nThe Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners\nMost other states which have basic 20\, 40 or 60 hour mediation training requirements.\n\nCancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their registration at least 15 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received 7 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 7 business day prior to the start date will not be subject to any refund.
